Milton Stags Youth Basketball Summer Camp

The Milton Stags Basketball is proud to present our Youth Basketball Summer Camp, a highly popular and proven program that has been shaping young athletes for the past 18 years. Designed for boys and girls U9 to U14, this camp offers the perfect combination of skill development, fun, and competition to help players elevate their game to the next level.

Daily Schedule

 

9:00 AM – 9:15 AM: Check-In & Welcome

  • Campers will check in, meet their coaches, and get a brief orientation about camp rules, safety, and goals for the week.

9:15 AM – 9:30 AM: Warm-Up, Stretching, and Plyometrics

  • Dynamic warm-up to prepare the body for physical activity.
  • Plyometric exercises to build explosiveness, strength, and agility.
  • Focus on stretching to improve flexibility and prevent injuries.

9:30 AM – 10:45 AM: Skill Development Stations

Athletes will rotate through stations focusing on different aspects of basketball fundamentals:

  1. Dribbling – Ball-handling drills to improve control and movement.
  2. Shooting Form – Proper shooting mechanics, stance, and follow-through.
  3. Passing – Chest passes, bounce passes, and improving accuracy.
  4. Defending – Positioning, footwork, and defensive tactics.

10:45 AM – 11:00 AM: Snack

  • Campers enjoy their nut-free healthy snack and rest before the afternoon session.

11:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Cardio and Stamina Building

  • Conditioning drills and activities to enhance endurance and overall fitness.
  • Focus on speed, agility, and stamina through running and full-court exercises.

11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Introduction to Competition

  • 3-on-3, 4-on-4 Games: Small-sided games to introduce athletes to competition.
  • Emphasis on teamwork, spacing, and applying fundamental skills.

12:00 PM – 12:15 PM: Basketball Situations & Strategy

  • Introduction to key basketball situations to enhance Basketball IQ:
  • Offensive plays
  • Defensive strategies
  • 5-on-5 scenarios with guidance on positioning and decision-making.

12:15 PM – 12:50 PM: Mini League Games

  • Campers will be grouped into divisions based on age and skill level.
  • Teams will compete in organized games within their mini league.
  • Coaches will observe and provide feedback to help players improve.

12:50 PM – 1:00 PM: Cool Down, Daily Recap & Dismissal

  • Coaches will summarize the day, highlighting key learnings and areas of improvement.
  • Review the schedule for the next day and provide encouragement to campers.
  • Check-out process: Campers must be signed out by their designated guardian.

Camp Highlights for the Week:

  • Gradual progression from 3-on-3 to 5-on-5 games.
  • Focus on improving Basketball IQ through situational play.
  • A mini-league tournament culminating in Championship Games on the final day!

Cancellation Policy:

Parents may opt to withdraw their child 14 days prior to the start date of
the program and receive the amount paid less $50 (non-refundable administrative
operation fee). No credit  will be issued if withdrawal request was made
less than 14 days prior to first scheduled assessment date or if the program
has already started. Notification of withdrawal from the program is to be sent
to inquiry@stagsbasketball.com.

Our club policy requires a $25 program transfer fee for any player who
chooses to switch to a different program within the club.

These fees are intended to cover the administrative and all related costs
associated with transferring or cancelling the player’s registration. We
believe that this policy ensures fairness and consistency for all players while
also providing flexibility for those who wish to make changes to their program.

No refund or credit is issued for missed practices, cancellations due
to inclement weather or school board cancellations.
